Today’s challenges of monitoring infrastructure in locations that are difficult to access and exposed to extreme conditions require solutions that combine durability, reliability and advanced measurement functions. The MT-718 PS telemetry module, a newcomer from Inventia, combines all these features. Built to operate in the harshest environments, it offers both advanced functionality and low power consumption.
The MT-718 PS module features a compact and robust housing designed for use in demanding field conditions. The IP68 protection class ensures full resistance to contamination and the ability to be submerged in water up to a depth of 2 metres for 24 hours.
The new battery module is ideal for locations such as water meter wells, measuring chambers or underground installations where traditional devices fail due to moisture, flooding or temperature extremes.

The MT-718 PS is not only an outdoor-proof device, but also an advanced measurement recorder. It is equipped with:
Thanks to the 4-20 mA to 0-5 V converter used, it is possible to connect a wider spectrum of sensors used in industry. This makes the MT-718 PS an extremely flexible and scalable solution.
In remote applications, especially where access to a power source is limited or even impossible, low battery power consumption is important. The MT-718 PS features a controllable power supply system for the measurement sensors, which means that the device only activates the voltage for the duration of the actual measurement.
This operating model significantly extends the life of the battery cells, reduces the need for servicing and lowers operating costs. Data transmission takes place in event mode or according to a pre-programmed schedule. On the other hand, the MT-718 PS module itself has a built-in circuit for measuring the charge taken from the power source. The user obtains the value of the actual mAh used by the measuring and recording set.

The MT-718 PS offers state-of-the-art data transmission options that enable its use in a variety of scenarios. It supports:
Thanks to Modbus RTU and NMEA protocols, the MT-718 PS can interface with other measuring devices such as flowmeters or GPS receivers, opening up additional possibilities for system integration and automation.
The versatility of the MT-718 PS allows it to be used in a wide range of industries and applications, such as:
The MT-718 PS is a solution designed for demanding applications and unpredictable environmental conditions. Built-in measurement functions, extensive communication capabilities and long-term battery operation make it a practical device for long-term monitoring.
Yes, the unit is IP68 rated, which means it can be submerged up to 2 metres deep for 24 hours. It is ideal for use in manholes, chambers and other hard-to-reach and challenging locations
The module supports 0-5 V analogue sensors and processes 4-20 mA signals. In addition, it has binary inputs that can count pulses. Through the use of binary outputs, it is possible to control, for example, the switching of the power supply of external sensors or devices available on site. In this way, many types of sensors can be connected, e.g. for temperature, liquid level, pressure and manhole opening signalling, pulses from a water meter.
The MT-718 PS operates on battery power, but it is also possible to connect an external power supply. The energy-saving mode significantly extends the life of the power source.
Thanks to the BLE interface, configuration and data reading can be carried out directly on site using the relevant Inventia diagnostic tools and applications without having to open the recorder housing.
